Women’s Health Conference
More than 1,000 high school age girls were chosen
by their San Francisco and San Mateo schools to attend
a one-day conference at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
in San Francisco. A committee of young women shaped
the agenda: two plenary sessions with speakers and
entertainment, 25 workshops on everything from acupuncture
and depression to safe sex and dating, and an exhibit
hall with more than 50 exhibits.
