Williams' 40th Anniversary Celebration
A commemorative concert celebrated the 40th anniversary
of Reverend Cecil Williams and Glide Memorial Church.
Held in San Francisco Marriott’s Grand Ballroom
and attended by 2,500 people, it included performances
by Maya Angelou, Robin Williams and Bill Cosby, as
well as the 100-person Glide Ensemble Choir. The evening
included a gala pre-concert dinner with the entertainers
for the 700 sponsors of the event.
