Concerted Effort
Against AIDS
San Francisco’s Ballet, Symphony and Opera
teamed up to raise money for local AIDS service organizations.
After two pre-event dinners for patrons, pianist Van
Clyburn and soprano Carol Vaness joined conductor
Michael Tilson Thomas and the Symphony at Davies Symphony
Hall. The event culminated at the
War Memorial Opera House with host Carol Burnett,
soprano Federica von Stade and a world premiere by
the SF Ballet, as well as a post party for the 2,000
attendees held on all floors of the Opera House. |
